Just watched this…

And it’s pretty great!

In most movies when someone comes into a family to “mix things up”, the plot completely focuses on the outsider character and how he’s just trying to do the right thing and show them the error of their ways, etc. But in this movie - Hesher just comes in to the point where you kinda feel bad sometimes.

Things get dark in this movie, but its not like it’s all Hesher’s fault. The kid was on this path way before Hesher even appears. Things eventually come around towards the ending, so at least the story isn’t a total downer and just makes you feel depressed after watching it.

And Hesher’s speech at the end = HYSTERICAL. His speeches / metaphors are worth watching this movie by themselves!
