‘Alcatraz’ needs to change their plot progression
From all 4 episodes I’ve seen, this seems to be how most of them (all but the sniper one) play out:
- Alcatraz Prisoner/Guard from 1963 mysteriously shows up in present day, confronts someone (usually a security guard), escapes.
- “Fiesty” Lady-cop orders/eats Chinese food, gets a call that someone’s been assaulted, leaves Chinese food behind.
- Lady-cop talks to Dr Hurley for any/all details about Alcatraz prisoner/guard.*
- Alcatraz Prisoner/guard tracks down someone from their past, takes him/her hostage.
- Tiny, meaningless clue reveals the Alcatraz prisoner/guard’s entire plan and/or location.*
- Lady-cop & Dr Hurley finds Alcatraz prisoner/guard.*
- Stand off.*
- Hostage crisis averted.*
- Alcatraz prisoner/guard taken back into secret, underground custody by Dr Grant from ‘Jurassic Park’.
*Dr Grant from ‘Jurassic Park’ shows up, and/or then leaves.
Seriously - change it up, or just don’t be on television…

it’s the same thing that happened with fringe. They tried to make it a procedural, and then at one point they said “fuck it!” and went balls crazy. No one watches JJ abrams shows for procedural shit, they watch it for the crazy. WILL THEY EVER LEARN?
